Human
Test1
The Human Bacteroidetes ID: Dorei service targets the human-associated marker DNA sequence located on the 16S rRNA gene of Bacteroides dorei. It is the most consistent and successful marker for detecting human fecal pollution.
Test2
The Human Bacteroidetes ID: EPA service targets Bacteroidales-like anaerobic bacteria that is present in high concentrations in the human gut. The U.S. EPA has successfully validated this assay in multiple nationwide studies.
Test3
The Human Bacteroidetes ID: Steri service targets the 16S rRNA gene of B. stercoris. The U.S. EPA was first to target this species using qPCR. Internal validations have also been conducted on hundreds of fecal samples archived in the Source Molecular fecal bank.

Test2

Bird
"The Bird Fecal ID service targets a bird-associated gene biomarker in Helicobacter pametensis. The biomarker is present at different degrees in the feces of various birds including but not limited to gull, goose, chicken, pigeon and duck."
Ruminant
The Ruminant Fecal ID service targets certain genetic sequences in the Bacteroides and Prevotella genus have been found in ruminants.
Beaver
The Beaver Fecal ID service targets certain categories of Bacteroidetes that have been shown to be predominately detected in beaver.
General Bacteroides
The General Bacteroidetes ID service adapts the qPCR assay from the U.S. EPA Method B for the detection and quantification of the 16S ribosomal RNA (16S rRNA) target gene from all known Bacteroidales in water.
