Management Update at Source Molecular

Source Molecular Corporation announced that Mauricio Larenas, Chief Executive Officer, departed from the company on November 26, 2018. The company will continue to execute its plan of providing robust centralized ISO 17025 accredited laboratory services while introducing an industry leading lab molecular testing SaaS platform to enable global adoption of microbial source tracking.

Gretchen Clark, Chief Financial Officer of Source Molecular and recently promoted to Chief Operating Officer, will continue to assure the daily operations of the company. Mark McIntosh, current board member, will serve as the interim CEO. Mr. McIntosh brings a wealth of political and entrepreneurial experience to the firm. Thierry Tamers will continue as Chairman of the company. Mauricio Larenas will remain an important shareholder of Source Molecular.

Dr. Yiping Cao, a world leading researcher in molecular technology, will be elevated from her present role as Vice President of Technology to Chief Technology Officer. As a member of the executive management team, she will work closely with the board of directors to expand the centralized lab services and manage actively the implementation of the SaaS platform. The goal of the company is to have the SaaS platform ready for use in 2019 for the North American market and throughout the world in 2020.
